Our Qualifications

Julie Annett-Asti, CFP® is the Founder and Principal of Asti Financial Management, LLC.

Julie began her financial services career in with MetLife Securities in San Francisco helping hospital employees plan and save for retirement using California Pacific Medical Center’s tax-sheltered annuity program. She also worked at FSC Securities Corporation helping individuals, families and small businesses with their financial planning needs. Her financial services career has been long and varied including working for very large firms like Barclays Global Investors, the largest institutional index money manager in the world, and very small firms like mPower, a Registered Investment Advisor that provided customized online investment advice to 401(k) participants. Before she founded Asti Financial Management, LLC, she was Managing Director at Van Wagoner Capital Management in San Francisco.

She is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional with almost 20 years experience in financial services. She holds a Graduate Certificate with honors in Personal Financial Planning, from University of California, Berkeley. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Banking and Real Estate from San Francisco State University. She is a Registered Investment Advisor and has an NASD Series 65 license. Julie is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of San Francisco where she serves on the Board of Directors as President Elect for 2011. She also teaches finance at Golden Gate University in San Francisco to students in the MS Finance program. Julie is a licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent with the State of California (License #OE67228).

Julie lives in Berkeley with her two sons, Justin and Ryan. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, camping, cooking, wine tasting and reading.
